Matt is a transplant to El Paso and has been in the community for the past two years. He was born in the Quad Cities and grew up in Taylor Ridge, Illinois, a small farming community in south Rock Island County.

A 2006 graduate of Carl Sandburg College with a degree in mortuary science , Matt has had a passion for the funeral profession and helping families since a very young age and considers it a “privilege” and a “calling” to do so.

Born and raised in El Paso, Illinois, Tony has embraced the opportunity to serve the community that has impacted and enriched his life. Since 2002, Tony has represented Calvert Funeral Homes, and his love for meeting new people and assisting families during difficult times continues to inspire him in the work that he does. If not spending time with friends and family, watching sports, or playing darts, Tony can be found fixing electronics, which as Tony puts it, “challenges him to find the problem and fix it.” Tony is married to wife, Pam and has a stepson named Gavin and a cat named Lucy.

Evan Calvert
Funeral Assistant
(309) 828-2415

Evan represents the third generation of the Calvert name in the funeral industry, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, Larry, and father, Alex. A student at Worsham College of Mortuary Science, Evan’s desire is to further the legacy of his family members and offer the same kind of care and service to the communities in which the Calvert family serves. As Evan readily admits, “I embrace being able to help families in their darkest times in life.” When Evan is not attending to the needs of those aforementioned families or studying, he can be found spending time with his family, friends, and his dogs, Sally and George. Evan loves Bloomington-Normal, especially the wide array of good restaurants, amazing golf courses, and the friendly families that comprise these communities. In his limited spare time, Evan enjoys watching baseball, fishing, and golfing; and he dreams of one day playing on the PGA Tour, where he can play all the top courses in the world and ultimately employ his father as his caddy.

A graduate of both SIU-Carbondale and Loyola University Chicago, Kirk’s familiarity with Illinois shines through, especially in his hobbies, where his true passion for sports, reading, and music are revealed. Kirk is no stranger to travel, and if he wasn’t working in Illinois, he would likely be seen with his dog, Russell, living and relaxing on an island.
