The planning is complete, the preparation has commenced, and it's time for Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home's big news to be known. On Wednesday, September 6th from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm, the 10th Annual Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home McLean County Senior Expo will move westward and assume its new and exciting location at the Interstate Center, located at the McLean County Fairgrounds at 1106 Interstate Drive in Bloomington. Vendors and visitors alike will enjoy more free parking, more free food, more free games, and the ability to access all of the Expo offerings on one convenient and comfortable level. The prizes for both vendors and visitors will be larger than ever before, and the amenities will assuredly accommodate everyone who attends. As part of the "Calvert Cares" initiative, Calvert Funeral Homes, which are proud to be family owned and family operated, have always cared about their families and their communities and their goal is to create a family-fun, and friendly atmosphere at one of McLean County's biggest and most anticipated events. Because of the size and available area at the Interstate Center, Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home is now able to introduce an opportunity that will impact needy families and all McLean County food pantries. Beginning this spring and culminating at the McLean County Senior Expo, Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home will sponsor, along with Radio Bloomington and Denny's Doughnuts and Bakery, the Calvert Cares Community Food Drive to benefit Midwest Food Bank and all McLean County food pantries. Calvert's care for their communities will be exhibited over the course of many months as they partner with their local schools, churches, organizations, and McLean County Senior Expo vendors to facilitate the largest non-perishable food collection to date. It is with great excitement that Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home is allowed to introduce and integrate two of McLean County's biggest events into one place on the same date.
The excitement is palpable, the opportunities to reach out and care for McLean County needy families is endless, and Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home looks forward to the partnershps that will be established during the unveiling and execution of both of these massive events.
