Andrew "John" Cook 73 of Normal, IL and formerly of Pontiac, IL died Friday July 6, 2018 at 10:02AM at his residence. A visitation will be held and Thursday July 12, 2018 from 4:00-6:00PM at Calvert & Martin Funeral Home, Pontiac, IL. Cremation rites will follow the visitation. Memorials in John's name may be made to Pontiac Girls Jr. Softball League or Meals on Wheels. John was born January 30, 1945 in Benton, IL a son of A.J. and Evelyn (Harriss) Cook. He married Karen Patterson on July 29, 1965 in Eureka, IL. He later married Marcia Hicks. John is survived by: two daughters: Jennifer (Tim) Brozis of Herscher, IL and Rebecca Cook of Brimfield, IL; three grandchildren: Dakota and Andrew Wheeler and Sophia Brozis; one great grandson: Matthew Wheeler; three sisters: Brenda Kay Asher of Benton, IL. Nancy Johnson of El Paso, IL and Joy Loeffler of Colorado Springs, CO; John was preceded in death by his parents. For the past ten years John resided in Normal, IL with his caregiver and former wife: Karen Cook. He was a foster Dad for numerous years in Livingston County. He had been employed at RR Donnelly and Interlake Steel for over thirty-five years. He was a member of the former Trinity Lutheran Church in Pontiac.
