Carol S. Fountain Obituary (1948 - 2018)

Carol S. Fountain, 70 of Putnam, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Unity Point Methodist Medical Center, Peoria. A visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 AM Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Henry United Methodist Church. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM Saturday, with Rev. Will Meachum officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Henry Cemetery. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial contributions may be made to Henry United Methodist Church. Calvert & Johnson Memorial Home, Henry is assisting the family with arrangements. Carol was born February 20, 1948 in Lacon, a daughter of George and Mabel (Jason) Spellious. She married Gary Fountain on April 30, 1976 in Sparland. He survives. Also surviving are two children, James E. (Michelle) Williams III of Tinley Park and Terra S. (Mike) Brozak of Henry; three step children, Gary (Doris) Fountain of Chicago, and Mike (Liz) Fountain and Bill (Hollie Koch) Fountain both of Henry; 12 grandchildren; one great grandchild; three sisters, Doris (Carroll) Pruitt of East Peoria, and Gen (John) Majernik and Mary (Joe) Pizzolato, both of Streator; one brother, Rick Spellious of Chillicothe; and a sister-in-law, Diane Meyer. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Bob, Dave, Darrell, Nick and Stan; a sister, Pat; and a sister-in-law, Pam. Carol was a member of Henry United Methodist Church. She loved her grandchildren, playing Bingo, mushroom hunting and most of all, spending time with family at the Spellious Farm.
