Obituary for Charles Harold Perdew

Magnolia:
Charles Harold Perdew, 88, of Magnolia, passed away Tuesday September 17, 2019, 2:15 pm at his home.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Putnam County Ambulance Service or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Calvert & Johnson Memorial Home, Henry is in charge of arrangements.
Harold was born October 14, 1930 in Henry, IL to Charles Haddon and Dorothy (Kapraun) Perdew. He is the grandson of Charles and Edna Perdew. He married Virginia Ann Martin on November 24, 1950 in Magnolia, IL. She preceded him in death on March 9, 2009.
Surviving are his daughter, Katherine (Robert) Seibert, of Henry, daughter-in-law, Debbie Wright, of Princeton, two grandchildren, Robert Brandon Seibert and Tabatha (Matt) Schafer, one brother, Edward (Jan) Perdew, of WI and sister-in-law, Rosemary Perdew, Astoria. His son, Gary Perdew, his parents and one brother, Eugene, preceded him in death.
Harold had served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was employed as a mechanic working at Bogner’s Machine Shop, Henry and later was self-employed.
Harold will be remembered for his interest in muzzle loading shooting, guns and his antique cars. He was a member of the Charles Perdew Museum.
