Everett W. Smith Obituary (1947 - 2017)

Everett W. "Tex" Smith, 70, of Bloomington, IL passed away at 10:45 a.m. Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Aperion Care, Bloomington, IL. Cremation rites were accorded and a graveside service with military rites will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington with John Kaupp officiating. Calvert-Johnson & Froelich Memorial Home, El Paso, IL is assisting the family with services. Everett was born June 17, 1947 in Peoria, IL the son of James and Minnie Coffen Smith He married Sandra K. Bricker in Bloomington, IL on October 4,1996. She died December 8, 2004. Surviving are three daughters Angela (Jesse) Douget of Ruston, LA, Lynn (Eric) Pullum of Engelwood, CO, and Christine Janick of Clinton; three step-daughters Kim (Bob) Nicholas of Bloomington, Karen Greiner and Kellie (Sean) Thoennes both of Normal; sixteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by both his parents. Everett was a US Army veteran who served in the Vietnam War. He was the owner of Smith Painting on Bloomington and retired in 1992. He loved to hunt and fish. Everett was loved by many and will be missed by all.
