Obituary for James E Steinsultz

James E. Steinsultz, 88, of Chenoa, IL., passed away Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 2:08 pm at OSF St. James in Pontiac, IL.
Cremation rites will be accorded and a visitation will be held on Thursday October 17, 2019 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at Calvert & Martin Funeral Home, Pontiac, IL. Inurnment will be at South Side Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the family.
James was born February 15, 1931 in Goshen Township, IL., the son of Kern and Leda (Bennett) Steinsultz. He married Barbara Smythe and then later married Frances Soto. She preceded him in death in 1988. Survivors include: ten children: Debby (Chuck) Reynolds of Graymont, IL. Scott (Janis) Steinsultz of Athens, AL. Abby Pina of Pontiac, IL. Jason (Amy Thalman) Steinsultz of Cape Coral, FL. Susan (Seth Metz) Steinsultz of Chenoa, IL. James (Edna) Hembree of Pontiac, IL. Tina (James) Haag of Cape Coral, FL. Jeff (Maria) Hembree of DuQuoin, IL. Diana (Dave Eymann) Hockenberry of Chenoa, IL and Mike (Wendy) Hembree of Flint, MI. Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; one sister: Edna Sandusky of Benton, IL. Jim was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Jim had been employed at Caterpiller in Peoria, IL, Pontiac Correctional Center and the Joliet Arsenal.
Jim enjoyed spending time with his family. He was an incredible handyman who loved to work on cars with his good buddy, Paul Roach.
