Norma J. Slattery Obituary (1930 - 2019)

Norma J. Slattery, 88, of Dwight, passed away at 11:23P.M. February 1, 2019 at Heritage Health: Therapy and Senior Care in Dwight, IL. Norma's Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, February 7, 2019 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Dwight. Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 A.M. also at the church. Cremation rites have been accorded and Norma will be laid to rest at Mt. Olivet Cemetery following the services. She was born in on July 20, 1930 in Goodfarm Township, IL, she was a daughter of Everett and Elsie (Kelch) Gantzert. She married Francis Slattery at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Kinsman, IL. He preceded her in death. She is survived by 3 children, Doug (Gracie) Slattery of Brenham, TX, Joyce (Glenn) Marcum of Chicago, Jane (Joe) Fijak of of CA; sister Carole (Terry) Page of Hillsboro, IL;5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, Chris (Noel), Dolan, Drew Slattery, Will Slattery, JJ Fijak, Jessie Fijak and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Norma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Francis and sister, Marian Holloway. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society. She volunteered at the local schools and the nursing home. Memorials in Norma's name may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
