Obituary for Patricia E. "Pat" Miller

Patricia E. ‟Pat” Miller, 81, of Le Roy, Illinois, went home to her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, while at home surrounded by her family.

Her visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. Friday, October 25, 2019, at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Le Roy, Illinois. Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 26, 2019, at the Le Roy Christian Church, Le Roy, Illinois. Burial will follow in Randolph Township Memorial Cemetery, Heyworth, Illinois.

Memorial donations in Pat’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Pat was born October 15, 1938, a daughter of Harvey and Bertha Fein Graff. She married Bill Miller on November 30, 1957, in Washington, Illinois. He preceded her in death on December 3, 1996.

She is survived by her sons, Steven (Robyn) Miller of St. Charles, Missouri, and William (Shelley Wilson-Miller) Miller of Heyworth, Illinois; her daughters, Julie (Ken) Kascel of Heyworth, Illinois, Debi (Tom) McGrath of Woodstock, Illinois, and Kathi (Robert) Miller of Bloomington, Illinois; her brothers, Gerry (Rosemary) Graff of Des Moines, Iowa, and Wayne (Inga) Graff of Litchfield, Illinois; her sister, Marge (Larry) Knobeloch of Lisbon, Illinois; her grandchildren, Jenni (Eli) Godfrey; Nate (Erin) Kascel; Matt (Bethany) Miller; Danielle Miller; Luke Miller; Jessica Miller; Ryan Wilson; Brittany Wilson; Tom McGrath; Patrick McGrath; Meghan McGrath; and Heather (Reid) Thompson; and her eight great-grandchildren whom she enjoyed immensely.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings.

In 1987, Pat and Bill opened Le Roy Farm and Lawn and quickly fell in love with both the town and residents of Le Roy. Over the years, Pat sold DeKalb seed, farmed in McLean and Tazewell County, and operated Miller’s Egg Farm in Heyworth, Illinois, with over ten thousand chickens. Pat and Bill were volunteer EMT’s for the Heyworth Ambulance service and she was a former board member of the McLean County United Way. Pat and Bill spent many a Saturday night square dancing in McLean with their group, the Merry Mixers. In recent years, folks often saw Pat gardening under the street lights after she closed up Le Roy Farm & Lawn.

While her accomplishments are many, her greatest was her relationship with the Lord. She was an active member of the Le Roy Christian Church, where she was a Bible Bowl leader and in the past at Heyworth Christian Church, where she was a Sunday School Superintendent.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and devoted friend who will be deeply missed.
