Paul W. Iverson Obituary (1941 - 2019)

Long Point: Paul W. Iverson, 78, of Long Point, passed away Sunday November 3, 2019, 8:00 am at his home in Long Point, surrounded by his family. Visitation will be Thursday November 7, 2019, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Calvert-Johnson & Froelich Memorial Home, Flanagan. Funeral services will be Friday, 11:00 am at the memorial home, with an hour prior visitation. The Rev. Dick Jumper will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Flanagan. Memorials may be made to the COPD Foundation. Paul was born February 17, 1941 in Flanagan, IL to Alva and Mary (Richardson) Iverson. Surviving are his loving companion of 29 years, Karen McMullen, her two children, Tara Yacko and Christopher McMullen, both of Streator; Karen's grandchildren, Ashlyn and Addison Yacko, and Christopher McMullen Jr., Paul's two sons, Phillip (Jackie) Iverson, of Eureka, Perry (Cathy) Iverson, of Skokie, grandchildren, Lauren (Thomas) Rubarts, Grant, Emily and Garrett Iverson and a great grandson on the way. His parents and four brothers, Wayne, Russell, Ivan and Edward, preceded him in death. Some of the great loves in his life were fishing, spending time with his family and working side by side with his sons.
