Obituary for Ronald D. Charlson

Ronald D Charlson went to be with his Lord and Savior at 5:02 AM on Monday September 2, 2019 at home.

Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be at 11 AM on Friday September 6, 2019 at Lexington United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Gromley officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM on Thursday and from 10-11 AM on Friday all at the church.

Memorials May be made to the First United Methodist Church of Lexington or the American Legion Post 291. Calvert-Johnson & Musselman Memorial Home in Lexington is in charge of arrangements.

He was born on March 16, 1945 in Bloomington, IL, the son of Albert and Dorothy Farner Charlson

He married Carol Gardner December 12, 1964 at the First United Methodist Church Lexington IL. She survives.

Also surviving are his daughter Belinda (Jody) Williams of Lexington, son David (Tamie) Charlson of Gridley and daughter Angel (Mike) Baker of Towanda. Six grandkids Grace, Isabella and Braydon Charlson and Cameron, Cayden and Casondra Baker. And one sister Louise Charlson of Peoria.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his twin brother, Donald E. Charlson.

Ronald served in the Airforce from 1963-1967. He was a member of the Elmo H Page Post 291 American Legion. He also served as a Lay Leader for the United Methodist Church.

He retired from FireStone Bridgestone as an electrician in 2010.
