Thomas L. Overbey, 73 of Chestnut, IL passed away 6:10 PM September 2, 2018 at his family home in Chestnut, IL. Services will be 11 AM, Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Greg Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at McClimans Cemetery, Hallsville, IL. Visitation will be 10 - 11 AM, Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be direct to the Thomas L. Overbey Memorial Fund. Thomas was born July 29, 1945 in Lincoln, IL the son of Ira Francis and Helen (Laughner) Overbey. He married Linda K. Grathwohl July 3, 1964 in Clinton, IL. She passed away December 4, 2017. Survivors include his children: Tommy Overbey, Alton, IL and John (Jenni) Overbey, Hallsville, IL; granddaughters: Katie and Bethany Overbey, Clinton, IL; sister: Darlene Naugle, Lawndale, IL He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Overbey; and sister, Sharon Ealy. Thomas enjoyed camping and riding motorcycles.
