Obituary for Virginia "Ginny" Daniels

PUTNAM-Virginia "Ginny" Daniels 78, of Putnam, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at 6:30 PM on Friday, June 14, 2019 at her residence in Lake Thunderbird.

Her funeral mass will be on Wednesday June 19, 2019 at 11 AM at St Marys/St John XXIII Catholic Church in Henry. Visitation will be from 3-7PM on Tuesday June 18, 2019 at Calvert-Johnson Memorial Homes downtown chapel. Cremation will follow the service and inurnment will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood at a later date.

Memorials may be given to the family to be designated to a charity later on. Calvert- Johnson Memorial Homes in Henry is in charge of arrangements.

Virginia was born in Milford, Illinois on October 17, 1940, a daughter to Gordon and June Rush Thompson. She married Raymond Daniels on May 16, 1959. He survives.
Also surviving are her daughter Dianne (John) Rumoro, Lyons, her granddaughter; Sarah (Glenn) Laumann, Lyons, 4 great-grandchildren; Ava; Leo; Mia; Gia, and three sisters; Mary (Carl) Henshaw, Mesa, Arizona; Judith (Jim) Pohlman, Burlington, Michigan; Catherine (Edward) Floyd , Burlington, Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister; Ann Longton.

Ginny was a member of St. Mary's Parish in Henry, the Daughters of Isabella ,the Ladies Club at Lake Thunderbird, and was also the treasurer for the Bureau Putnam Crimestoppers.
