William E. Novy Obituary (1942 - 2018)

William E. Novy, 75, of Dwight, formerly of Gardner, IL passed away at 10:04 am on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at Heritage Health and Senior Care in Dwight, IL. According to William's wishes cremation rites will be accorded and no services will be held. Hager Memorial Home in Dwight, IL is in charge of arrangements. William was born September 9, 1942 in Joliet, IL a son of Gustave and Hilda (Kvalvik) Novy. He married Dolores Koslowski on January 28, 1961. She passed away March 1, 2009. Surviving is a sons, Wesley Allen (Laurie Ann) Novy of Normal, IL David (Angela) Novy of Verona, IL; daughter, Dawn (Phil) Edkins of Boca Raton, FL; sister, Lillian (Milton) Honiotes of Shorewood, IL; grandchildren Alivia, Jacob and Alexa Novy, Brittany Wilsman, Jimmy and Devin Janssen; 3 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dolores; brothers, Robert, Roger, Harvey, Daniel; sisters, Bonnie Mecum, Virgina Linchiski and Gloria Bock. He worked as a mechanic for Fisher Auto parts and Cinder Ridge. William enjoyed his pets, fishing and the outdoors.
