In The Community

At McCracken-Dean Funeral Home, we care about your family, and we are committed to our community. This is more than a slogan, it is a passion for the very people that we have cared for and worked with throughout our great community. For generations, McCracken-Dean Funeral Home has worked hard to meet the needs and exceed the expectations of our clients and our community members. It has been equally important for us to work and serve in our city, with the goal of making it a better place to live and raise our families. McCracken-Dean Funeral Home is dedicated to this task daily by partnering with the individuals, families, and businesses in our community. For years, Tom and Mayola Dean have been involved in every aspect of the community, including working with various fundraisers. Mayola has been past President of Pana Chamber of Commerce and Pana Community Hospital Auxiliary. Tom has served in leadership on the Boards of Pana Community Hospital and Foundation, Pana Country Club, and Pana Rotary. He continues in leadership as President of Pana Industrial Development and Pana Pride. In addition, Tom has also served as emcee at various community gatherings.

The McCracken-Dean Funeral Home staff continues their long tradition of giving by hosting a community Veteran’s Dinner, Minister's Dinner, and First Responder’s Dinner. In addition, McCracken-Dean Funeral Home, as part of its on-going commitment to community, is proud to offer Pana and its neighboring towns a Free Community Breakfast & Bingo for senior adults age 55 and older. We are proud to call Pana our home, and we believe in being responsible by giving back. At McCracken-Dean Funeral Home we love to give, we live to serve, and we are forever committed to family and community. We believe that this is the McCracken-Dean difference.

It has been said that communities are constructed one entity at a time, specifically by the businesses that build them and the members who make them. We at Calvert Funeral Homes care about them, and one of the best ways that we can display this is by spending quality time with them. To accomplish this, we have set out to interview and be educated and informed about the many great central Illinois businesses that comprise our local communities. To be included in this In the Community interview series, please contact Calvert Funeral Homes Public Relations Director Chad Sparks at csparks@calvertmemorial.com. In the interim, we hope you enjoy the opportunity to learn more about our communities and the great businesses and people that work and live in them by viewing our collection of videos below.
