A. Elaine Scott 99 of Saunemin, IL died Monday March 15, 2021 at 5:30AM at her residence. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic immediate family only services will be held at Five Mile Cemetery, rural Saunemin, IL with Rev. Jane Bradford officiating. Calvert & Martin Funeral Home, Pontiac is handling the arrangements. Elaine was born on December 26, 1921 in Saunemin, IL a daughter of Wade and Margaret (Attig) Warbinton. She married Wayne Scott on December 24, 1943 in California. He preceded her in death on January 27, 1994. Survivors include four children: Terry (Nancy) Scott of Fairfax, CA, Ann (Roger) Henrichs of Saunemin, IL., Barbara (Robert) Beaurdy of Tucson, AZ and Jean (Douglas) Johns of Pontiac, IL; ten grandchildren: Teresa Scott, Wayne (Andrea) Henrichs, Julie (Richard) Fox, Jeremy (Christine) Henrichs, Nathan (Holli) Henrichs, Joy (Saul) Otano, Mercedes (Cameron Holley) Beaudry, Scott (Carmen) Beaudry, Lisa (Dan) Zimmerman and Amy (Jake) Krause; sixteen great-grandchildren: William and Emily Henrichs, Trevor, Amanda, and Brooke Fox, Annie, Sam, Eliana, and Josef Henrichs, Lilly and Bristol Henrichs, Rylee and Natalie Zimmerman and Regan, Elena and Courtney Krause. Elaine was preceded in death by one great granddaughter: Elle Everly Henrichs and two sisters: Evonne Jordan and Shirley Rich. Elaine was a homemaker who centered her life around Jesus and taught her children about the Lord. She taught life lessons and practical living with such things as sewing, baking, cleaning gardening and canning because she didn't want anything to go to waste. Her baking recipes of dinner rolls, cinnamon rolls, banana bread, French orange cake and her husbands most loved chocolate cake with caramel frosting have been passed down to generations. Elaine was a former member of the Pontiac Bible Church. She taught Sunday School, helped with AWANA was involved in Bible studies and spent many years helping with Vacation Bible School. She also sang for many weddings, funerals and church services.
