Andrea Lee Johnson Obituary (1939 - 2021)

Andrea Lee Johnson, 82, of Bradenton, FL formerly of Bloomington, IL Passed away at 11:25 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2021, at Bradenton Hospice House, Bradenton, FL. Per her request cremation rites were accorded and private family services will be held. Calvert-Johnson & Froelich Memorial Home, El Paso, IL assisted the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the Illinois Special Olympics. Andrea was born April 16, 1939, in Bloomington, IL the daughter of Edward and Viola Stappenbeck LaBounty. She married Paul E. Johnson on August 1, 1959, in Bloomington. He survives along with three children Teresa (Bruce) Weber of Fairbury, Douglas (Vickie) Johnson of Bloomington, and Michael (Kelly) Johnson of Aiken, SC; one brother William LaBounty of Normal; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Andy was a retired secretary from Bloomington Junior High School. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Normal Lodge, a Special Olympics volunteer for 28 years, and a member of the American Passion Play for 20 years. She was a loving wife, mom, grandma, and great grandma who enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
