Arbuta D. Richmond Obituary (1928 - 2021)

FLANAGAN - Arbuta D. Richmond, 92, of Flanagan, passed away at 9:55 AM on Friday, January 15, 2021 at OSF St. James, Pontiac. Cremation has been accorded and services will be at a later date. Calvert-Johnson & Froelich Memorial Home in Flanagan is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be given to First Christian Church, in Flanagan. Arbuta was born in Muncie, Indiana on October 14, 1928, a daughter to Frank S. and Irene G. (Holland) Augburn. She married Walter (Pat) Richmond on February 25, 1954. He preceded her in death in 2018. Surviving are her children, Nila (Roger) Davis, Flanagan; Michael (Betty) Richmond, New Mexico; Joyce (Jeff) Oravec, Berwyn, Ill; 5 grandchildren, John Ruffner; Samantha (Andy) Grayson; Alisha Davis; David (Lacy) Davis; Stephen Richmond; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Joan (Roy) Rogers, Muncie, Ind. Arbuta was a librarian part-time for many years. She enjoyed reading and she especially loved to sing and play the piano.
