Betty June Thompson

Betty June Thompson, 91 of Bloomington passed away at 7 PM Saturday June 23, 2018 at McLean County Nursing Home in Normal.
There will be a funeral service for Betty on Wednesday June 27, 2018 at 11 AM at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home in Bloomington. Pastor Chad Sparks will officiate. There will be a visitation from 9-11 Wednesday at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Park Hill Mausoleum.
Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home in Bloomington is handling arrangements.
Betty was born April 18, 1927 in Bloomington to Harold and Leah Buck Downs. She married Donald Thompson on October 13, 1946 in Bloomington. He preceded her in death on May 31, 2002.
She is survived by five children, James (Cheryl) Thompson of Allerton, Iowa, Mark (Mary) and Gary (Brenda) both of Bloomington, Cindy Nafziger of Stanford, and Jean Thompson of Hope, IN, as well as fourteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and two sisters Marilyn Knuppel of Normal, Diane Peavler of Lexington.
Betty was a member of Covell Community Church, Dale Township Home Extension and Woman of the Moose Lodge # 173 in Bloomington.
