Catherine E. "Betty" Williams, 93 of DeLand, IL passed away 4:50 AM January 7, 2022 at her family home in DeLand, IL. Services will be 11 AM, Thursday, January 13, 2022 at the DeLand Christian Church, DeLand, IL with Pastor Danny Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at the DeLand Cemetery, DeLand, IL. Visitation will be 10 - 11 AM, Thursday at the church. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, DeLand, IL with arrangements. Memorials may be directed to the DeLand Christian Church or Faith in Action. Betty was born January 9, 1928 in DeLand, IL the daughter of Sherman and Carrie (Broadwell) Parrish. She married Leland G. Williams, October 1, 1948 in DeLand, IL. He passed away November 11, 2014. Survivors include her children, Barbara Nichols, DeLand, IL; Elizabeth Williams, DeLand, IL; and Leanne (John) Griffin, Tolono, IL; 11 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Betty Jean Parrish, Monticello, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Sherman Alvin Williams and Russell Lee Williams; five brothers and one sister. Betty was a hairdresser in DeLand for 44 years. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, embroidery, and reading.
