Curtis Emanuel Miller, Jr., 78, of Maroa, IL passed away at 11:43 AM, October 19, 2020 at Manor Court, Clinton, IL. Private graveside services will be Friday, October 23, 2020 at Maroa Cemetery, Maroa, IL with Scott Marsh officiating. There will be no visitation. Calvert Funeral Home, Maroa, IL is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be directed to The Epilepsy Foundation of Florida. https://www.epilepsy.com/make-difference Curtis was born February 16, 1942 in Danville, IL the son of Curtis E. and Effie Alice (Huffman) Miller, Sr. He married Margaret Ann Nichols on December 6, 1964 in Decatur, IL. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Miller, Maroa, IL; children: Brenda Marie (John) DelaCruz, Pensacola, FL; Scott Curtis (Dawn) Miller, Clinton, IL; and Daniel Clifford (Heather) Miller, Cerro gordo, IL; 2 sisters, Edith Spittler and Esther McEvoy; sister-in-law, Joan Miller; 8 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren also survive. Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, and 1 sister. Curtis worked at Superior Welding in Decatur, IL and retired from the Maintenance Department of the Decatur Public Schools after 27 years of service. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and scuba diver. Curtis enjoyed sharing his pursuits with his family.
