Dixie G. Arthur, 74, of Normal, IL passed away at 10:22 PM, July 4, 2021 at her daughter's residence, Bloomington, IL. There will be no services at this time. Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL assisted the family with cremation rites. Dixie was born April 12, 1947 in Decatur, IL the daughter of Roy E. W. and Helen (Idleman) Lee. Survivors include her daughter, Tabatha Thurston, Bloomington, IL; son, Michael Hicks, Decatur, IL; two granddaughters, Ginger Thomas, Romeoville, IL and Aubree Hicks, Maroa, IL; mother, Helen Lee, Decatur, IL; sister, Candis (Rich) Underwood, Saybrook, IL; and two nephews, Jefferey (Assiya) Underwood, Bentonville, AR and Stacy Underwood, Clinton, IL. She was preceded in death by her father. Dixie enjoyed her jobs working at various electrical manufacturers. She was proud that she shared a birthday (nine years apart) with her sister, Candis. Dixie loved red carnations, Crunchy Cheetos, and all animals - especially sloths. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
