Donald Gene Shepherd, 69, of Heyworth, Illinois, passed away February 28, 2020, at Bloomington Rehab and Health Care. Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Heyworth, Illinois, is assisting the family. Cremation rites have been accorded. Services for Donald will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Donald Gene Shepherd Memorial c/o DeWitt County Savings and Loan. Donald was born October 26, 1951, to Harold and Ethel Hinthorn Shepherd in Bloomington, Illinois. He is survived by his three brothers, David "Tuffy" (Lily) Shepherd of Clinton, Illinois, Butch Shepherd of Ava, Missouri, and Russell (Val) Shepherd of Philippi, West Virginia; one sister, Phyllis (Marty) Defebaugh of Maroa, Illinois; and sister- in-law, Alita Shepherd. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Pete Shepherd.
