Eunjung Y. Schantz age 41 of Normal IL passed away at 6:37 AM on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington, IL. Her memorial service will be 11:00 AM Sunday, February 24, 2019 at the Korean Church of Bloomington Normal 213 S. Grove St, Normal, IL. Rev. Daniel Hwang will be officiating. Visitation will be 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL. Private inurnment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to her children's education fund in c/o of her husband, Donulus Schantz Jr., 703 Ironwood CC Drive, Normal IL. 61761 Eunjung was born October 21, 1977 in Seoul, South Korea. Her parents, father, Chansik Yim mother, Dongran Moon, they both survive, Seoul, South Korea. She married Donulus Schantz, Jr. on July 30, 2005 in Seoul, South Korea. He survives. Also surviving are her 2 children, Eva and Donulus Schantz III, Normal, IL, 1 brother, June Yim, Pasadena, CA and her father & mother In-law, Donulus and Yun Hee Schantz I, Watsontown, PA. Eunjung graduated from Ewha Women's University, Seoul, South Korea. She taught at the Korean Academy of Language and Culture, Normal, IL She was a talented artist and musician. She played piano, guitar, drums and violin. Eunjung specialized in ceramic art. She was currently in independent studies at Illinois State University, Normal. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister. She adored her children and was very proud of them.
