Fanda W. "Fanny" Alicea Obituary (1941 - 2018)

Fanda Wilma "Fanny" Gertruda Ripassa Alicea age 76 of Springfield, IL formerly of Bloomington, IL passed away at 12:56 AM on Monday, March 19, 2018 at Lewis Memorial Christian Village, Springfield, IL. There will be no service or visitation. She was cremated and a service celebrating her life will be held at a later date. Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL. is in charge of arrangements. Fanny was born in Bali Indonesia May 18,1941, the daughter Maximilian and Irma Grashuis Ripassa. She is survived by her two children, Myrna Fournier, Steven (Tonya) Alicea, four grandchildren, Ariel & Donovan Fournier, Brendan & Kiersten Schwehr, four brothers, Donald, Ernest, Victor, & Rena Ripassa and one sister, Cynthia Freeth. Fanny is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Theo Ripassa Fanny never met a stranger. Her smile was contagious and she kept everyone around her entertained with her Witty sense of humor. She was a candle dancer and loved country music. Fanny was very involved in the Church- 7th Day Adventist. Family would like to send a sincere thank you and appreciation to Lincoln Towers, Springfield Supportive Living, Lewis Memorial Christian Village, and Harbor Light Hospice. Their staff became extended family and provided excellent care. She loved each and everyone of you.
