Frances Swain Ramos Obituary (1940 - 2019)

Frances Swain Ramos, 78 of California formerly of Hudson, IL, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at the West Anaheim Medical Center, Anaheim, CA. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 11am at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington with family receiving friends from 10-11am. Following the service family and friends are welcome to a luncheon at the Hudson Baptist Church. Inurnment will be held at 1:30pm on Saturday at the Hudson Township Cemetery, Hudson. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Hudson Library. Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements. Frances was born on December 2, 1940 in Owensboro, KY. She is the daughter of Elvis and Molly Swain. She is survived by her children; Molly Ramos, David Ramos; grandchildren, Daniel Ramos, Sabrina Ramos, and Emily Ramos all of California. She is preceded in death by her parents, and 1 sister, Donna Kathy. Frances was a graduate of Normal Community High School, Class of 1958 and attended Illinois Wesleyan and the University of Kentucky. She was a Captain in the US Army serving as a Registered Nurse. Frances enjoyed gardening, crafts, and reading. She was a great mother who enjoyed reading to her children, taking them to museums, the park and the beach when they were younger. Frances will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
