Garnett Maxine Ploense Obituary (1940 - 2019)

Garnett Maxine Ploense, 79, of Bloomington, Illinois, formerly of Heyworth, Illinois, passed away at 9:50 P.M. Friday, August 23, 2019, at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal, Illinois. Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no services. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home is assisting the family. Maxine was born January 5, 1940, in Saybrook, Illinois, a daughter of Harold and Lois Winnett Hall. She married James Ploense on June 27, 1959, in Farmer City, Illinois. He passed away in 2013. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Williamson of Bloomington, Illinois; grandson, Michael (Kristina) Steele of Trinity, Texas; three brothers, Jerald (Connie) Hall, James (Karen) Hall and John (Cathy) Hall; two sisters, Jean Bodien and Debra Yonker. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Hall and Danny Hall; and one sister, Susie Donald. Maxine worked at the Lincoln Development Center from 1965-73. She retired as a Sergeant from Logan Correctional Center around 1998 after 30 plus years of service to the State of Illinois. Maxine was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and devoted friend who will be deeply missed.
