Grace E. Keighin Obituary (1925 - 2020)

Grace E. Keighin age 94 formerly of Carlock, IL passed away at 3:20 PM on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at Luther Oaks, Bloomington, IL. Visitation will be 9:00 AM-11:00 AM Friday, February 28, 2020 at the North Danvers Mennonite Church, Danvers, IL. Her funeral service will 11:00 AM Friday at the church. Pastor Brian Johnson will be officiating. Burial will be at North Danvers Mennonite Church Cemetery, Danvers. The family suggests memorials be made to North Danvers Mennonite Church, Danvers, IL or to Luther Oaks. Arrangements are being handled by Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL. Grace was born March 2, 1925 in Bloomington, IL the daughter of Harvey P. and Edith Kinzinger Miller. She married Kenneth Allen Keighin in Danvers on June 17, 1950. He passed away January 8, 2018. She is survived by her two children Kevin (Janet) Keighin of Normal and Valerie (Scott) Tamblyn of Indianapolis, two grandchildren, Andrew (Racheal) Keighin and Melissa (Luke) Hoesly, two step-grandchildren, three great grandchildren and four step-great grandchildren, one sister, Dorothy Haeffele, Normal, IL. Grace was preceded in death by one grandson, Joel Keighin and one brother Leo Miller. Grace was a lifetime member of North Danvers Mennonite Church. She was a 4-H Leader and active in the McLean County Farm Bureau. Grace was an avid gardener. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with people and was known for her kindness.
