Gustav Henry "Gus" Miller Obituary (1933 - 2023)

Gustav H. "Gus" Miller, 90, of Heyworth, Illinois, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2023, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington, Illinois. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 15, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Heyworth, Illinois. His funeral service will be held Thursday, March 16, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Park Lawn Cemetery, Danvers, Illinois. Memorial donations may be made to the Bloomington American Legion Post 56. Gustav was born February 22, 1933, in Normal, Illinois, a son of Roy Joseph and Josephine Rebecca (Nessen) Miller. He married Crystal Melita Carter on September 28, 1958, in Bloomington, Illinois. She survives. He is also survived by his son, Anthony J. (Jennifer) Miller of Heyworth, Illinois; grandchildren, Melissa "Little Charmer" Miller, Kiley Miller, Anthony Miller, Payton Ferguson, and Allison Ferguson; great-grandchildren, Cameryn "Sugar" Miller, Payton, Rebecca, and Lainey Chaney; and one brother, Carl Miller of Bloomington, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters. Gustav was an U.S. Army veteran serving during Korea. He was a member of the Bloomington American Legion Post 56, V.F.W. Post 454, A.B.A.T.E of IL, and Antique Car Club of McLean Co.
