Harold Buford Bohannon Sr. Obituary (1932 - 2022)

Harold Buford Bohannon Sr, 89, passed away on Thursday March 10, 2022 at Heritage Health in Normal. His graveside service will be held on Monday, March 14, 2022 at 1pm at the Onarga Cemetery, Onarga, IL, with Pastor Jason Collins officiating. The family suggests memorials to be made to the Transitions Hospice or to the Carlock Fire Department, Carlock, IL. Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements. Buford was born on May 29, 1932 in Red Bay, Alabama a son of John and Eleanor Jackson Bohannon. He married Olive Louise Myers on February 21, 1953 in Pocahontas, Arkansas. She preceded him in death on March 20, 2006. Buford is survived by his son's; Harold (Julia) Bohannon Jr, Bloomington; James (Janis) Bohannon, East Peoria, IL; and Kevin (Nancy) Bohannon, Carlock. He also survived by his 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, a sister Billy Mae (Andy) Hatkiss of Missouri and a brother, Arnold Bohannon of California. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons and 2 sisters. Buford farmed his whole life and he loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
