Harriet M. Weber Obituary (1925 - 2019)

Harriet M. Weber, 93, of Aurora, IL formerly of Pontiac, IL passed away at 1:25 pm on Monday, July 22, 2019 at Symphony of Orchard Valley Nursing Home in Aurora, IL. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Calvert & Martin Funeral Home in Pontiac. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 pm on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at the funeral home. According to the family's wishes, cremation rites will follow services. Rev. Canessa Lagan will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, Pontiac; Livingston County Humane Society or the charity of the donor's choice. Harriet was born November 10, 1925 in Dwight, IL at her grandparent's home, a daughter of John and Mary (Miller) Verdun. She married Gerald Weber on December 27, 1953. He passed away on June 23, 2014. Surviving are her daughters: Gloria Johnson and Shirley (Ken) McCrady; one granddaughter: Brenda (Bob) Heher; one great granddaughter: Brittiny Johnson Perrigo; sisters in law: Mary (Dean) Hamilton; Marilyn and Marge Weber; one brother in law: Ronald (Dixie) Schott; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother: William (Colleta) Verdun; two brothers in law: Wilber and Wayne; one son-in-law: Donald Johnson; one grandson: Roger Johnson; and one great grandson: Justin Johnson. Harriet served her community in many different ways including the AMVETS Auxiliary, the Pontiac Moose Lodge and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Pontiac. She worked over the years at Pontiac Chair and National Glove and spent time on the Rations board in Livingston County. She and Gerald were married for more the 61 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandma, great grandma, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed.
