Hazel L. Charlett Obituary (1928

Hazel L. Charlett, 91, of Eureka, IL passed away at 4:02 p.m. Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the Loft in Eureka, IL Funeral services will be 12 noon on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Calvert-Johnson & Froelich Memorial Home, El Paso, IL with Paul and Dan Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, El Paso. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the memorial home. Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association. Hazel was born September 20, 1928 in Ellsworth, IL the daughter of Clifford and Mary Jane Grammer Hadfield. She married Lawrence Charlett on May 10, 1953 in Leroy, IL. He died May 25, 2015. Surviving is one son Mark (June) Charlett of Oswego; her sister, Jeanette (Harley) Pendley of LeRoy; three grandchildren Scott (Kimberly) Charlett of Batavia, April Charlett of Oswego, and Jacqueline Charlett of Aurora. She has five great grandchildren Kameryn, Peyton, Kolton, Beckham, and Madelyn. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Clarence. Hazel was a member of the Plymouth Brethren Church in Delavan. She worked at State Farm Insurance Company in Bloomington for 8 years after graduating from LeRoy Township High School in 1946. Hazel was also a Cub Scout den mother to Pack 257 Den 4 when her son was growing up.
