Irvin Mitchell Coyle Obituary (1946 - 2022)

Irvin Mitchell Coyle, 75 of Heyworth, IL, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022. He was born on December 24, 1946, to Irvin Alan and Margaret Hafley Coyle. He married Dessie Carey on November 15, 1968, in Funks Grove, IL. Mitch is survived by his wife Dessie; their daughter Sheila (Paul II) Spencer of Waynesville, IL; and his grandsons James (Kimmy Landes) Fox of Jacksonville, IL, Paul "Eddie" Spencer III, of Springfield, IL and Thomas Mitchell Spencer of Waynesville, IL; and his great-grandchildren Randy, Violet and Spencer of Jacksonville, IL. As well as his siblings Paul (Karen) Coyle of Rock Falls, IL, Don Coyle and Mary Ann Head. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son, Michael Scott and siblings Helen Fitzgerald, Jerry, David and Carl Coyle. Mitchell attended Heyworth High School. He served in the US Army from1964-1968. He is a Vietnam veteran. He started working at General Electric in Bloomington, IL in November 1968 and retired in February 2007. Mitch enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors and spending time with his family and friends. There will be a Celebration of Life for Mitch on December 17, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the Heyworth American Legion. We will be having a potluck dinner. Please feel free to bring a dish to pass and come as you are.
