Jake Van Yzendoorn Obituary (1927 - 2020)

LINCOLN - Jake Van Yzendoorn, 92, passed away at 12:00 p.m. on February 25, 2020 at St. Clara's Manor in Lincoln, IL. Jake was born in Zaandam, Netherlands on June 14, 1927; son of Johanes and Maria (Scholl) Van Yzendoorn. He was preceded in death by his first wife: Sarah, his parents, one daughter: Shirley, one daughter-in-law: Angela, and Eight siblings. Surviving Jake is his wife: Virginia; his children: Mike (Tina) Van Yzendoorn, Peggy (Carl) Anderson, Robert Van Yzendoorn, and Barbara (Bill) Brooks; one son-in-law: Gabe Salazar; his twin sister: Annie; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service for Jake will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday March 7, 2020 at Opens Arms Christian Fellowship in Lincoln, IL. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service (10:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m.). Memorials may be made in Jake's name to Open Arms Christian Fellowship.
