James L Denney

The funeral of James L Denney 83, of Bloomington will be at 10 am on Wednesday, September 19th at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 am. Interment will be at East Lawn Memorial Garden, Bloomington.

He passed away on Saturday afternoon on September 15, 2018. He was born June 11, 1935 to Orville and Edna Denney in Somerset Kentucky.

He is survived by his wife Clara Louise, sister Sharon Hunt, three sons and three daughters, Ty Denney, Steve (Bev) Virgil, Michael (Terri) Virgil, Kathleen Miller, Suzzi Virgil, Sandy (Greg) Wilkins, 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister (Jean) and one granddaughter (Andrea).
Jim was a truck driver for many years. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed time with family.

Jim served his country in the US. Army.
A special thanks to the OSF hospice staff for love and care during Jim's remaining days.
