Janine Ball Welsh age 66 of Bloomington IL passed away at 10:55 PM on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at her residence. Her funeral service will be 1:00 PM Friday at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home,Bloomington IL. Fr. Michael Pica will be officiating. Private inurnment will be at a later date at St. Michaels Catholic Cemetery, Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Visitation will be 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. Friday at the by Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL. The family suggests memorials be made to the American Lung Association. Janine was born May 20, 1951 in Sioux Falls, South, Dakota the daughter of Byron Jay and Evelyn Pearl Wolf Ball. She married Michael L. Welsh on January 15, 1972 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He survives. Also surviving are her children, Sarah (Derek) Ladgenski, Glen Ellyn, Illinois, Deirdre (Eric) Noshay, Glenview, Illinois, Nate (Megan) Welsh, Chicago, Illinois, 6 grandchildren, Grace, Vivian, Foster, Emma, Quinn and Evelyn,1 sister, Chloe (Robert) Schneider, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, sister in-law Sue (John) Malcom, Arlington Heights, IL and several nieces and nephews. Janine is preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother, James Ball. Janine is a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church Merna, Bloomington IL. She received her Bachelor Degree in English from Benedictine College Atchison, Kansas. Janine taught English at Atchison Middle School.
