Jasper Allen Dean Swafford, 21 months, passed away at 9:29 AM, Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at St. Louis Children's Hospital, St. Louis, MO. A Celebration of Jasper's Life will be 2 PM, Friday, April 9, 2021 at the Heartland Community Church, 3253 Brush College Rd., Decatur, IL 62521 with Pastor Andy Troyer officiating. Visitation will be 11 AM - 2 PM, Friday at the church. Calvert Funeral Home, Argenta, IL is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Ronald McDonald House, St. Louis, MO. Jasper was born June 6, 2019 in Decatur, IL the son of Tommy A. and Tricia K. (Poppenhouse) Swafford, Jr. Survivors include his parents, Tommy A. and Tricia K. Swafford, Jr., Argenta, IL; siblings: Sofia Swafford and Airalyn Swafford; maternal grandmother, Elaine (Chad) Newingham, Carrollton, IL; paternal grandparents, Thomas and Leesha Swafford, Sr., Forsyth, IL; maternal great-grandparents, Donald and Maxine Page, Litchfield, IL; maternal great-grandmother, Flora Patricia Poppenhouse, Astoria, OR; paternal great-grandmother, Rhonda Rhodes, Vandalia, IL; paternal great-grandmother, Princess Cole, Pana, IL; paternal great-great-grandparents, Doug and Billie Sitter, St. Charles, MO; aunt, Josie Swafford and her children, Zoey, Zac, and Zadie; uncle, Corie and Felicia Poppenhouse, their children, Connor, Arabella, Juniper, and Greenli; aunt, Chelsea and Connor Evans, their children, Adalee, and Bodhi; uncle, Cole, son, Weston; and uncle, Ethan. Jasper loved "Toy Story", to draw, and play peek-a-boo. He especially loved his sisters, mommy and daddy.
