Joyce Ann Rempe 65 of Clinton, IL passed away 3:03 A.M. October 2, 2019 at McLean County Nursing Home, Normal, IL. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Friday, October 11, 2019 at St. John's Catholic Church, Clinton, IL with Rev. Fr. James Henning, Celebrant. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery, Clinton, IL with full military honors. Visitation will be 10 - 11 AM, Friday at the church. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with arrangements. Joyce was born November 17, 1953 in Peoria, Illinois the daughter of Louis J. "Lou" and Emma Jean (Logsdon) Rempe. Survivors include her siblings, Diane (Barry) Phipps, Decatur, IL; David (Wanda) Rempe, Decatur, IL; Carla (Bill) Good, Clinton, IL; Eric (Valorie) Rempe, Clinton, IL; Greta (John) Boudeman, Armington, IL; Teresa (Bill) Washburn, Georgetown, TX; Steven Rempe, Clinton, Il.; Janet Vinson, Clinton, IL, as well as several nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents. Joyce was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Clinton, IL. She served in the U.S. Navy from 1973-1977, where she was one of the first four female Hull Technicians in the Navy working in both the San Diego and Philadelphia shipyards. Joyce was a caring person with a generous heart, who loved her family. She enjoyed giving gifts and sending cards along with watching Jeopardy. Memorials may be directed to American Red Cross or the Wounded Warrior Project.
