Katherine "Kathy" Lindgren Obituary (1949 - 2023)

Katherine "Kathy" (Ragle) Lindgren, age 73, of Pontiac, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023, at 1:25 a.m. at her residence. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 26, 2023, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, located at 2101 S. Prospect Ave, in Champaign, IL, 61821. Kathy was born on April 14, 1949, in Muncie, IN, to Oral and Betty Ragle (Thorn). Survivors include her children: Jami Porter (Joe) from Cairo, GA, and Jodi Davis (Jeff) of Champaign, IL; grandchildren: Ellie Davis, Matt Davis, Joe Davis, Kate Porter, and Will Porter; siblings: Terry Ragle (Kim), Mark Ragle (Barb), and Karen Beecher (Bryan), all of Pontiac, IL. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Kathy graduated from Pontiac High School and attended Illinois State University. After college, she followed her dream to be a flight attendant and travel the world. Kathy will be remembered for her generous, humorous, and loving spirit. She was an avid sports fan and travel enthusiast, and her adventurous nature inspired many. Her legacy will live on through the memories she created and the impact she had on those she loved. Kathy was a beloved mother, grandma, aunt, sister, and friend. She will truly be missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her. Per her wishes, Kathy made the courageous choice to donate her body to science to help others.
