Kathleen Anne "Kathy" Nelson Obituary (1952 - 2020)

Kathleen Anne "Kathy" Nelson, 68, of Heyworth, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2020, at home. Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Central Illinois. Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Kathleen was born July 31, 1952, in Lodi, California. She married Ed Nelson on May 8, 2003. He survives. She is also survived by her father, Bob Haines of Michigan; stepdaughter, Brittaniann (Matthew) Nalian of Heyworth, Illinois; sisters, Pat (Larry) Wywadis of Washington and Carol (Brian Ward) Nelson of California. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Antonia Allinson-Haines. Kathy loved being around her family. She spoiled her two cats and two dogs. In her free time, Kathy could be found tending to her flowers. She was a loving wife, daughter, stepmom, sister, and devoted friend who will be deeply missed.
