Obituary for Kay Frances Summers

Kay Frances Summers 80 of Clinton, IL passed away 2:24 A.M. November 26, 2019 at Manor Court, Clinton, IL.

Services will be 11 AM, Friday, November 29, 2019 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Allison Hitchings officiating. Burial will follow at Long Point Cemetery, Wapella, IL. Visitation will be 10 – 11 AM, Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Kay was born January 18, 1939 in Clinton, IL the daughter of Francis and Marjorie (Seats) Lynch. She married James E. Summers July 9, 1971 in Clinton, IL.

Survivors include her husband, James E. Summers, Clinton, IL.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents and adoptive father, Thurman Stivers, who raised her; son, Larry in infancy; and daughter, Shelly Lund.

Kay was a member of the First Christian Church, Clinton, IL and the American Legion Auxiliary. She retired in 1998 from Revere Copper and Brass, Inc. after 38 years of service. She was an avid reader and member of the Vespasian Warner Library Board for over 20 years.
