Keith Olomon Obituary (1940 - 2017)

Keith J. Olomon, 77, of El Paso, IL died at 7:35 p.m. Saturday, June 24, 2017 at this Residence. Cremation rites were accorded and a private family service was held on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Parkhill Mausoleum in Bloomington with Rev. Dr. Tim Smith officiating. Calvert-Johnson & Froelich Memorial Home, El Paso, IL is assisting the family with arrangements. Keith was born June 11, 1940 in Peoria, IL the son of Hardie Keith and Clara Alpine Peterson Olomon. He married Wanda S. Simmons on May 29, 1965 in Mackinaw, IL. She died June 5, 2014. Surviving are four children Patty (Tom) Evans of Washington, Brian (Kaye) Olomon, Neal (Teri) Olomon , and Jody Potts all of Bloomington; one brother Ronnie (Bonnie) Olomon of Roanoke; five grandchildren and three step grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, four sisters, one grandson, and one great granddaughter. Keith retired from Caterpillar after 30 years of service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed watching NASCAR races and reading Western Novels. He was a loving dad, brother, grandpa and great grandpa who enjoyed spending time with family.
