Kenneth Lee Brown Obituary (1944

Kenneth Lee Brown, 78, of Heyworth passed away Thursday, January 26, 2023, at home with his family. A celebration of life will be held at the Eagle Lodge in Bloomington on February 3, 2023, from 2-4PM. Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home of Heyworth, is in charge of arrangements. Kenneth was born August 15, 1944, in Gardner, Kansas, to Herbert and Vivian Lorraine (Kime) Brown. He married Bonnie Wilson on May 30, 2003. She survives. Surviving are sons Matthew Brown, Steven Brown, and Jared Rinkenberger; daughters Amy (Jeremy) Swiech, Becky (Robert) Brown, Cassie Brown, Tina (Dave) McIntosh, Tammy (Ken) Althiser, Ashley Rinkenberger, and Brandy Vasquez; 21 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; brother Dr. Gerald (Patti) Brown; aunt Arlene Pemberton. Kenneth was a US Army veteran and served in the National Guard for many years. Papa Ken was special to his children and grandchildren. An avid Packers and Dodgers fan, he attended many football games at Lambeau Field and never attended a losing game. Ken always said, "On the seventh day, god rested at Lambeau Field". He was happiest when he was busy and was always willing to lend a hand to any of his family with any project that needed done. Ken had a great love for animals his entire life. The family has asked that any memorials be made to Mclean County Animal Shelter.
