Maxine A. Norville Obituary (1932

Maxine A. Norville 89 of Pontiac, IL died Saturday April 23, 2022, at 4:10PM at Evenglow Lodge. Her funeral will be held on Saturday April 30. 2022 at 11:00am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pontiac, IL with Fr. Adam Cesarek officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Pontiac. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:15-10:45am at Calvert & Martin Funeral Home, Pontiac and a rosary will be recited at 9:00am at the funeral home on Saturday. Memorials in Maxine's name may be made to St. Mary's School or Pontiac Public Library. She was born on August 27, 1932, in Michigan City, IN a daughter of Bernard and Alice (Schelinski) Kintzele. She married Robert V. Norville Sr. on September 5, 1953, in Chicago, IL. He preceded her in death in November 1990. Survivors include: four children: Shari Dunham and Robert (Wendy) Norville Jr. both of Pontiac, IL, Laura Sandford of Atlanta, GA and Alice (Dan) Timmerman of Highlands Ranch, CO; Grandchildren: Mike (Alexis) Dunham Jr, Amanda (Jared) Dunham, Leslie (Nate) Weir, Rob (Victoria) Norville, Nicki (Ryan) Shelton, Jordan (Molly) Norville, John (Kayla) Sandford, Bill Sanford, Emily (Evan) Foster and Sarah Timmerman: Great-Grandchildren: Amelia, Harrison, Kalin, Zoe, Rowan, Emerson, Isabella, Sofia, Matthew and Joshua; sisters: Darlene Mora of St. John, Indiana, Janet Vitale Bianchini of Merdian, Idaho and Jackie Papa of Bethalto, IL. Maxine was preceded in death by two son in laws: Mike Dunham Sr. and Dan Sandford, sister: Joan Kerslager and brother-in-law George Kerslager and brother in laws-; Gilbert Mora and Rudy Papa and her parents. Maxine "Nanny" loved her children and doted on her grandchildren. She always had a hug at the door, candy in a drawer and a seat next to her where she might just scratch your back. She enjoyed going to the "Boat" with anyone that would go. Her Catholic faith and attending church were very important to her. People-watching and looking out windows were two of her favorite things to pass the time. We will all miss her.
