Mickey Lee Little Obituary (1954 - 2021)

Mickey Lee Little, 66, of Le Roy, Illinois, passed away at 8:45 P.M. Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at Richard L. Owens Hospice House, Peoria, Illinois. A private graveside inurnment will take place in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign, Illinois. Memorial donations may be made to the Le Roy Emergency Ambulance Service or to the First United Methodist Church of Le Roy. Mick was born December 19, 1954, in Champaign, Illinois, to Lewis and Jean McHenry Little. He married Sandra Gordon on April 30, 1996, in Nashville, Tennessee. She survives. He is also survived by his four daughters, Andrea (Erik) Fluegel of Wisconsin; Jean Hildago of Rantoul, Illinois; Gina Ensign of Champaign, Illinois; and Mindy (Chris) McReynolds of Hudson, Illinois; one son, Scott (Julie) Bishop of Arizona; one brother, Jerry (Jill) Little of Le Roy, Illinois; one sister, Pam (John Rovi) Appleton of Florida; fifteen grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two nieces; two nephews; two aunts; two uncles; and several cousins who were dear to him. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Mick was a Le Roy High School graduate and completed vocational training in Louisville, Kentucky. He owned and operated M & S Security with his wife for 10 years. Mickey was an avid fisherman and passionate woodworker. He was immensely proud of his father and him restoring a Cushman scooter and truckster that were ridden in many parades. Mick was the type of guy who was just as comfortable baking a pie as he was in the garage working on his next woodworking project. He was a loving husband; father; grandfather; great-grandfather; brother; uncle; and devoted friend who will be deeply missed.
