Robert W. "Bob" Steinberg age 93 of Bloomington, IL passed away 6:55 PM on Sunday, June 03, 2018 at his residence. A service celebrating his life will be 5:30 PM Sunday, June 17, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 1628 W. Hovey, Normal IL. Bishop Jason Heiner will be officiating. The family will receive friends after the memorial service at the church. Private inurnment will be Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Bloomington, IL. Cremation service provided by Calvert & Metzler memorial Home, Bloomington, IL. The family suggests memorials be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Normal IL or Advocate BroMenn Hospice Program. Bob was born April 1, 1925 in Faribault, MN the son of Robert and Martha Balzum Steinberg. He married Dorothy I. Behrends. She precedes him in death. He later married Alice M. Taylor on July 31, 1954 in Farmer City, IL. She also precedes him in death. Surviving is his 4 children, Arthur (Deborah) Steinberg, Cambridge, MN, Debra (E. John) Beltramea, Springfield, IL, Robin (L. Colleen ) Steinberg, Bloomington, IL, Tamara Corona, Bloomington, IL, 25 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren, 1 sister, Barbara Klemp, Minnesota and his former daughter in-law Julie (Nathan) Mann Steinberg Johnson, Davenport, IA. Bob is preceded in death by his parents and 3 sons, Robert, Steven and P. Shane Steinberg and 6 siblings, Hilda, Ella, Ethel, Bill, Art and Dick Bob had worked at Laesch Dairy in Bloomington, IL and he owned and operated Steinberg & Sons Yard Grading also of Bloomington.
