Roxanne Anne Devore Gardner Obituary (1954 - 2021)

Roxanne Ann Devore Gardner, 67, passed away at 11:24 p.m. on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at St. Margaret's Hospital, Spring Valley, IL. Roxanne was born on August 6, 1954, in Henry, IL. Roxanne spent most of her life serving others as a waitress. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a mother, grandma, sister, and aunt who will be greatly missed. Roxanne is preceded in death by her Mother, Marlene Christmann, a sister, Sandra Wayne, a brother, William Harris and one granddaughter, Danielle Renee Marlett. She is survived by her children: Dale (Hilary) Taylor of Woodbridge, VA, Margaret Taylor (Wenona, IL), John (Jennifer) Marlett of Sparland IL. Also surviving are her siblings: Debra (Mark) Ahlers, of Magnolia, Lewis (Ester) Devore, of Canada, Barb (Curt) Newlon, of Peru, Lynn Seward, Tina (Willard) Smith, of Toluca and Mary (Albert) Harris, of Henry, eleven grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. A graveside service to celebrate and honor her life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, December 31, 2021, at the Henry Cemetery. Calvert & Johnson Memorial Homes, Henry is assisting the family with the arrangements.
