Ruth Ann "Rudy" Norbits Obituary (1947 - 2018)

Ruth Ann "Rudy" Norbits, 70 of Toluca passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Unity Point Methodist Medical Center, Peoria. A Celebration of her life will be from 2:00 to 4:00 PM Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Calvert - Johnson & Froelich Memorial Home, Toluca. A time of remembrance and sharing will follow at 4:00 PM. Cremation rites have been accorded and a private family inurnment will be in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Toluca. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Rudy was born December 15, 1947 in Streator, a daughter of Barney and Vera Mae Lieder DeRubeis Sr.. She married Fred Norbits on August 14, 1987 in Henry. He preceded her in death on July 4, 1999. Surviving are three children, Lisa Hoffman of Council Bluffs, IA, Tony (Diana) Ladd of Minonk and Julie (Craig) Inman of Ponte Verda, FL; and eight grandchildren, Andrew and Elizabeth Hoffman, Aleksa and Anthony Ladd, and Gavin, Sophia, Chase and Keeley Ruthann Inman. Also, surviving are two brothers, Barney (Becky) DeRubeis and Melvin DeRubeis both of Toluca; and two sisters, Nancy (the late Tom Sr.) Healy of Wenona and Mary Lou Nicholson of Warrenton, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Frank DeRubeis. Rudy was a loving mother and grandmother and a dear friend, who was always surrounded by a wonderful circle of friends.
