Thomas M. "Porky" Henson Obituary (1948

Thomas M. "Porky" Henson, 72, of LeRoy, passed away Wednesday (June 9, 2021) at his home. A Celebration of Life will be at the LeRoy Sportsman's Club on Friday, June 18 at 4:00 pm. Memorial donations may be made to L.E.A.S. or LeRoy Fire Protection District. Tom was born October 24, 1948, in Bloomington, the son of Charles and Dorthy Henson. He married Jennifier Gawthorp on December 30, 1968, in LeRoy. She passed February 7, 2018. Survivors include a daughter, Cathy (Rich) Roth; a son, Matt (Rebecca) Holderby; sisters, Toni Peavler and Teresa (Tish) Baxter; brothers, David Borries and Robert Borries; and grandchildren, Ainsley, Nolan, Krysten, Matthew, Garret, and Gabe. He was preceded in death by his father; mother; sisters, Mary and Dorothy; and brothers, Gene and Jerry. Tom attended LeRoy High School and was a partner in Henson Oil for most of his life. He was a very hard worker and was always incredibly generous and helpful. Tom was an avid hunter and was a longtime member of the LeRoy Sportsman's Club. He was an easy-going happy man who enjoyed good times, good drinks and being surrounded by his family and friends.
