Tom Edward Barker Obituary (1958 - 2022)

Tom Edward Barker, 63 of Oreana went home to be with the Lord March 21st 2022, in his home, surrounded by his family. His last wish was to be at home with his family whom he loved dearly. (And to listen to a little Rock and Roll Music!) Tom was born in Decatur, IL 1958 son of Wayne and Shirley (Davidson) Barker. He married Lillie (Shipp) Barker December 1980 in Maroa, IL. They enjoyed 41 years together. They were blessed with two wonderful sons, Jeffrey Barker and Jeremy Barker, a wonderful daughter-in-law and 5 wonderful grandchildren. Tom was proud to be the 4th generation to be raised on, raise his children on and farm a Centennial farm. His stewardship for what God blessed him with was second to none, he was a master of all trades. In addition to farming, he enjoyed being outdoors, cooking, gardening, listening to music and woodworking. He was hardworking, dedicated and loyal to his family. He was a wonderful husband and the best Dad and Pop EVER. Surviving, wife, Lillie Barker of Oreana; sons, Jeffrey (Shelby) Barker, Jeremy Barker; grandchildren, Gage Taylor Barker, Zander Taylor, Lillie Jo Barker, Kaebren Barker and Kalle Barker, aunt, Mary Davidson and brother, Larry Barker. Tom was proceeded in death by his grandparents, parents and Favorite Uncle Jamie Davidson. Thank you to everyone that prayed for his healing, he was fearfully and wonderfully made and now has a perfect body. Special thank you to all of the staff at Cancer Care Specialist of Illinois, especially Dr. Ben and Lynnette Clemons for your care and support. Thank you Babe and Dad for all you did for your family, you will be forever in our hearts. Private Graveside Services will be held at Maroa Cemetery with family friend Jeffrey Alexander officiating.
